Between March 2023 and January 2024, Andy, Richard and Angela, with permission from Buxton Civic Association, carried out a detailed photographic survey of the various forms of graffiti visible along the access path in the cavern. This work formed  the basis for further research and our speakers will tell us what is so far known about who left their marks and when they were made.

Andy is a well-known figure in the graffiti recording community. Angela & Richard are Cultural Heritage volunteers with the Peak District National Park with experience in surveying and photography.”

Doors will open at 7pm to give you time to have a drink, a cake and a chat! No need to book – just turn up. Entrance is just £4 including refreshments.
