The restoration of Haddon Hall in the 1920s
Haddon hall

Wednesday 1st April.

Our speaker for April is Margie Burnet, archivist at Haddon Hall;  has an Honours Degree in Fine Art & Medieval History from St.Andrews University.

She has worked at Haddon Hall for 10 years (having retired from being a Headmistress based in Gloucestershire).

The restoration of Haddon Hall was carried out by John Manners, the 9th Duke of Rutland, in the 1920s. There will be a virtual tour of the Hall, encompassing its history and using rarely seen records and photographs from its archive. Lasting about 45 minutes there will be time for questions afterwards.
