David will present a digital slide show on minor railways around
Derbyshire, the Peak District, and immediate surrounds. He will include
the story of the Leek and Manifold Valley Light Railway which ran for
just 30 years from 1904 between Waterhouses and Hulme End.

David has been a professional railwayman and model maker, and in his
spare time, author, magazine editor, museum trustee and archivist. In
retirement, he is now involved in restoring and recreating steam
locomotives and has a huge collection of photographs some of which he
will use to illustrate his talk.

At our December meeting we will be holding our usual raffle in aid of
the Air Ambulance so would be grateful if you could bring along any
