On Thursday August 24th at 2pm (doors open at 1.30) in Warslow Village Hall, Notty Hornblower from the Hope House Costume Museum will be recreating the elegant Edwardian era with a talk and demonstration of fashions from around the time of the TV drama Downton Abbey. Models will display original clothes from the 1910s to the 1925s showing how fashions changed, from the elegance of the Edwardians through to the flappers of the mid-20s – with World War 1 in between – and from the highest to the lowest in British society. Entrance will be £5 including refreshments. For more information contact Janet at historylivewarslow@gmail.com or ring 01298 84624. No booking needed, just turn up!
